Your new role
As Senior Client Manager, you will take ownership of a high-value portfolio, spanning a mix of tax & compliance and business advisory engagements. You will be expected to hit the ground running, delivering first-class technical output, building trusted relationships with clients, and proactively identifying opportunities to improve.
A key part of your role will also involve mentoring and developing junior and intermediate accountants. You will be instrumental in shaping their technical capability, client communication skills, and professional development pathways.
Demonstrable business development success is essential. You will actively engage with the Canberra market, confidently build your network, and bring in new work through both relationship development and strategic business generation activities. This firm values professionals who demonstrate resilience, confidence, and commercial acumen.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this opportunity, you will demonstrate:

Proven capability managing a large portfolio across tax, compliance, and advisory

Strong technical accounting and business advisory skills, with a track record of delivering quality outcomes

Recent success in business development and winning new business

Experience mentoring, managing, and progressing junior and intermediate accountants

A commitment to building trust over time by delivering consistently high-quality work and demonstrating strong commercial judgement
