Baltimore County Public Schools is seeking a visionary, student-centered educational leader to serve as Superintendent. This position offers candidates the flexibility to express interest as an Interim Superintendent, Permanent Superintendent, or as a candidate open to either opportunity. The Board seeks an innovative executive with a demonstrated commitment to academic excellence, equity, operational leadership, and collaborative community engagement.

- Ensure Fiscal Responsibility: Uphold the highest standards of financial stewardship, ensuring resources are managed efficiently and transparently to maximize impact in the classroom.
- Drive Operational Excellence: Streamline organizational systems and processes to create a high-performing, data-driven environment that supports the district’s long-term goals.
- Strengthen School Support: Foster a culture of responsive service, providing school leaders and staff with the tools, stability, and forward-focused leadership necessary to excel.
- Foster Family & Community Engagement: Build strong, transparent partnerships with families and stakeholders, ensuring the community is an active participant in the success of our schools.
Flexible Leadership Paths
The Board is committed to finding the right leader and offers the flexibility to express interest in the following capacities:
Permanent Superintendent
Interim Superintendent
Candidates open to either role
Selected candidates will serve under either a one-year or multi-year contract, depending on the role and board requirements.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $325,000 – $340,000
Negotiable: Final salary determined by experience, qualifications, and Board criteria.
