The College of Nursing is especially interested in candidates who have significant potential for building an extra-murally funded program of research. This position will be located in Brookings, South Dakota, Sioux Falls, South Dakota, or Rapid City, South Dakota. This position is a 12-month, full-time, benefits-eligible position.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Faculty members plan, implement, and evaluate assigned courses either as an individual assignment or as a member of a teaching team.
SALARY RANGE:
Salary and rank are commensurate with qualifications and experience; Assistant Professor minimum salary starts at $97,000.

Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, completed by application date;
Graduate Degree in Nursing, completed by application date;
A Ph.D. in nursing or related field, completed by start date;
Potential for (Assistant Professor) or demonstrated record (Associate Professor) of excellence in teaching;
Potential for (Assistant Professor) or demonstrated record (Associate Professor) of excellence in research/scholarship;
Licensed by the South Dakota Board of Nursing or eligible for licensure as a registered nurse as evidenced by current licensure in another state;
Effective written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills;
Valid driver’s license, or ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire, and willingness to travel.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Teaching experience at the undergraduate and graduate levels;
A history of successfully funded research and relevant clinical practice;
Active program of research and dissemination;
Experience with simulation technology and distance delivery;
